Cute, Clever Halloween Costume Ideas

This post goes out to my lovely friends who dressed up for my Halloween Eve party -- never compete with bars that have more booze on Halloween.

The party was a hit! I'm convinced the secret to throwing a successful shin-dig is offering your guests more than just a living room and kitchen to congregate. The Halloween Eve party allowed friends to graze the party food in the dining room, refill drinks in the kitchen, play adult ping pong (wink wink) in the basement and warm up by the out door fire pit. Believe me, your introverted friends will be relieved that they have multiple areas to retreat to - plus how much small talk can you really have over jalapeno poppers and party punch?

The Party

I just planned a Lingerie Shower for my best friend. It was so much fun thinking up a theme, decorations and the menu. I absolutely love planning parties! Here are some photo's of the party:

Tip: I created a pinterest board to hold all of my ideas, it made it so much more fun and easier to organize!

Theme: Vintage pin-up 

Colors: Pinks and reds

Menu: Fruit (berries), cupcakes, sugar cookies - in the shape of bra and panties, two different quiches, brie/crescent bites, brie and crackers

Drinks: Bubbly Bar - strawberry champagne, champagne, OJ, lemonade, cran-apple juice, strawberry bottled soda with straws, lemon water

True story: I can't wait to turn 25

I'm already planning my big party,

theming it a 1920's soiree,

and I've got the perfect location in mind. 

Guess I'm planning to be in Dallas for at least two more years...
