My little sister and I rang our door bell and sang O Holy Night to my adorable, surprised parents tonight. We were being resourceful this year and decided to sing their favorite Christmas carol as our "we love you, sorry we're poor college kids, and merry Christmas" gift under the Christmas tree.
They both cried happy-proud tears. I would say our Christmas Caroling gift idea was a success....
Of course, my mom decided she was entitled to ask us to sing on command for friends and family during other festivities through out the evening. A simple, (slightly embarrassing) price to pay for the joy of my adorable mother.
